A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hi, I am Sapana Jadoun,  FONDECYT Postdoctoal researcher at the Department of Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Chemical Sciences, the University of Concepción with Prof Jorge Yáñez on the project entitled “Nanohybrid Materials for Novel solar Photocatalytic Reduction of Copper: Fundamentals toward to a Solar Harvesting of Copper”. Her research focuses on Materials chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, and polymers chemistry (Conducting polymers, and their functionalization for applications in photocatalysis, optoelectronics, bioimaging, sensing, etc.). She likes to work in interdisciplinary fields. Dr. Sapana Jadoun completed her Ph.D. in 2019 on the topic “Synthesis, Characterization, and Fluorescence Studies of Amine-Based Conducting Polymers and Copolymers” in Materials Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India under the supervision of Dr. Ufana Riaz. She did her masters in Organic Chemistry from the University of Rajasthan, India, and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kota, India. She has also worked as Junior Research Fellow from Dec 2014 to Nov 2016 and Senior Research Fellow from Dec 2016 to July 2018 in DST-SERB sponsored project entitled “Enhancement of Fluorescent Properties of Conjugated Polymers using Luminol and its Derivatives for their Application in Near-Infrared Region”. During her research journey, she has worked on UV, ATR FTIR, TEM, SEM, XRD, TGA, DRS, AFSS, EPR, NMR, CV, ICP-OES, Fluorescence, and so on. She has qualified for CSIR (Council for Scientific & Industrial Research) NET (National Eligibility Test) in Chemical Sciences with All India Rank 19th (Dec 2011) and All India Rank 36th (June 2011). She was associated with Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, Faridabad, India as an Assistant Professor at the School of Basic & Applied Sciences as well as she was holding the position of “Coordinator-Research & Publications” thereafter her thesis submission. Before her Ph.D., She was associated with Jaipur National University, Rajasthan, India as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Environment Engineering. She has a total of more than 75 publications in the peer-reviewed scientific journal including 54 publications and 17 book chapters and 4 patents with 1217 citations and an H-index of 19 and an i10 index of 32 (google scholar). Her area of expertise includes conducting polymers and its functionalization for their application in photocatalysis (Advanced oxidation and reduction process for metal recovery), organic electronics, and bioimaging.
