ABOUT ME

Dr. Sapana Jadoun is an Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry, Universidad de Tarapacá, Chile. She also worked as a FONDECYT researcher at the Department of Analytical and Inorganic Chemistry, University of Concepción on the project entitled “Nanohybrid Materials for Novel Solar Photocatalytic Reduction of Copper: Fundamentals toward a Solar Harvesting of Copper”. She also won postdoctoral fellowship from HIT, China. Her research focuses on Materials and Environmental Chemistry. She likes to work in interdisciplinary fields and she worked on optoelectronics and boomedical field too. She also crossed threshold score of Marie Curie Postdoc Fellowship in 2023 and was in the list of top 2 % scientist of the world by Stanford University, USA in 2023. She completed her Ph.D. in 2019 on in Materials Chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. She earned her masters in Organic Chemistry from the University of Rajasthan, India, and her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Kota, India. She has also worked as a Junior Research Fellow from Dec 2014 to Nov 2016 and a Senior Research Fellow from Dec 2016 to July 2018 in a DST-SERB sponsored project entitled “Enhancement of Fluorescent Properties of Conjugated Polymers using Luminol and its Derivatives for their Application in Near-Infrared Region”. During her research journey, she has worked on UV, ATR FTIR, TEM, SEM, XRD, TGA, DRS, AFSS, EPR, NMR, CV, ICP-OES, Fluorescence, and so on. She has qualified for CSIR (Council for Scientific & Industrial Research) NET (National Eligibility Test) in Chemical Sciences with All India Rank 19th (Dec 2011) and All India Rank 36th (June 2011). She was associated with Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, Faridabad, India, as an Assistant Professor at the School of Basic & Applied Sciences She also held the position of “Coordinator-Research & Publications” after her thesis submission. Before her Ph.D., She was associated with Jaipur National University, Rajasthan, India, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Environment Engineering. She has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals, including articles, reviews, books, patents, and book chapters, with 2458 citations, an H-index of 27, and an i10 index of 47 (Google Scholar). Her expertise includes conducting polymers and their functionalization for their application in photocatalysis (Advanced oxidation and reduction process for metal recovery), organic electronics, and bioimaging.
